ABOUT ME

DETAILS

The fields that have always driven me in my life are the thrill of adventure and the prospect of gaining wisdom. Whether it be through adrenaline fueling outdoor activities, or through innovative management techniques, I constantly thrive to exceed expectations set for myself and push boundaries that could open doors to new pathways of advancement. This may be considered an unnatural mindset to have in a field of work where monotony and routine go hand in hand, however breaking the normal stride and jumping forward is what provides technology based companies with the competitive advantage so required in the business world today. What I bring to my job is what I bring to everything that I do in life: a forward thinking, goal oriented view, that is unique and advantageous to growth and development in any industry. I am trained and experienced in coaching and leadership skills and work well at developing future leaders who are able to use their specific skills to their advantage.

“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.”

                                                                          ~ Susan Sontag

My Mission

Much like the quote by Susan Sontag, I do not limit myself to any specific path in life, but rather make it my goal to be as open to exploration, adventure, and new experiences as possible. The mission that helps me to achieve this goal is to view my life as it is: a big adventure. I realize that the work I put in will be returned through knowledge, experience, and success. My work is not a monetary necessity, but rather as part of my adventure that helps to shape my character along the journey. This perspective is defining of my nature, and is the explanation for the positivity, passion, and enthusiasm I bring to every aspect of my life.

Work and Skills

Work and Skills

I enjoy leading teams. While I always like generating new ideas on my own, the best way to achieve this is to bring in other members. While 10 individuals in a group may have 30 different ideas, extracting the best of those ideas and bringing them together to form a feasible action plan can be a challenge. Dealing with different personalities and mindsets and using them to their fullest potential is my focus in leadership positions. From my days of captaining a league winning soccer team, to coordinating group trips over seas, to being a team leader at work, I always strive to place my focus towards my Personal Leadership Statement:

I want to use my drive to learn and lead, my passion for doing my best in all aspects of life, and my unique and strategic perspectives, to gain the wisdom to lead others to success both personally and professionally.

Education

My educational journey has been somewhat unique as compared to others; rather than taking on a full-time student status, I chose years ago to work my way through. I have found that this choice was the right one, as I was able to take what I learned at school and apply it to my work.  I have had a major advantage due to knowledge that I attained in school which has been much more up-to-date with today's quickly advancing technology and research. When I left the office for the day, I did not look forward to relaxation and recovery, but continued on, learning, studying, and training to be a better leader and a more developed person. While going through this process, I gained many additional skills, such as development of time-management skills, patience, and as my parents always told me: character development.

Ransome's Life List

Ransome's Life List

Somewhere towards the end of high school I sat down and contemplated the things that I wanted to accomplish in life. I am on a mission to complete everything on that list and more. After all, wisdom is built off of experience.
